Pangolins are the number one most trafficked animal in the world, yet not a lot of people know they even exist. Trafficked for their keratin scales, commonly used in Chinese alternative medicine, pangolins are critically endangered.
With no teeth, and a tongue almost as long as their body, while they lick up ants and termites, rocks are collected with their super sticky saliva, grinding the poor morsels up for a tasty lunch.
